how do you block unwanted text messages on a cell phone/T-Mobile/prepaid/ it all started

when I went on yahoo and entered a short quiz to see my IQ at the end it asked for a cell ph# and I entered my cell no for the first and only time ever since i have been bugged, its cost me over a $100 in unwanted text messages..I tried 611 and got the run-around/asked for a new phone no. no luck.I've typed stop and I need help for this to stop.

I don't know about your particular service but I know with AT&T all I did was call them and have them block all internet, texting and that way I do not get them nor get billed for them so you might try calling your provider's technical assistance and asking them if they can block all from your phone?

most phones have a block list now so you can block any number you want from texting you.check under text or security settings
