I've met one aka regular in person.  I won't forget the moment we saw each other at the airport. He had his back turned towards me watching for me at the  Carousel.  I came around the corner from behind him and as soon as I laid eyes upon him he turned towards my direction and looked at me.  He must have sensed my presence. Remarkable!

Yes, several times. It's a mixed bag, just like meeting people anywhere else.  Some of the people I consider truly close friends are people I haven't met...yet! Like Vinny, I'm not exactly the outspoken character in person that I am in the comfort and anonymity of the web!

I have a forum, throughout the years, about 17 years, I have met some people that I have talked to nightly on the forum, After talking online for years finally meet some of them, it was a wild experience, a great experience!  Only once did I meet a really bad person.   I think as romance goes, I can't speak of that but I kinda put it akin to meeting someone in a bar.  Don't know what you have until they sober up.  Internet is like that, nobody is exactly the same in person.  I have people tell me that in person I am completely different.  Online I talk a lot, no restrictions other than online etiquette, in person, I am quiet and reserved. Just opposite.

yes. Not good experience, but i never talked to her on the phone first, it would have helped.. best thing to do is make sure that the plans you have together are lighthearted, so there is no pressure. And if you can, talk to them on the phone first. Glad to help :]
