          There are over the counter medications that work quite well. One example that I personally use is called Systane Ultra. It's a bit pricey $8.00 a bottle but it last a long time and is very soothing. Recommended by my eye doctor.

          I would go to the eye doctor if this condition persists.

            Systane Ultra Lubricant Eye Drops for dry eyes. You may need a prescription from your eye doctor, I don't know if it's sold over-the-counter.
