    how do you know if you have a fuel pump problem

    try spraying some starting fluid in the intake near the air filter, crank the motor, if it starts and then stalls, then the problem is fuel related, possibly the fuel pump or fuel filter. (I'm assuming the vehical is not starting for you and you are trying to trouleshoot).
