      There is a jumper on the mother board which will allow a computer tech to reset the passwords and make the computer usable. It is not something a novice should try. This method would make her files accessible.

        Turn it on and hit F11 and restore it back to factory settings. Start all over from scratch. You won't be able to access her files but you will be able to use the laptop.
