    What is http authentication

    VLC wants a password and authhentication to dowwnload a radio stream from station WDVX. What are they and how do you get them? All I get fromtheir site is a Catch 22 round robin of referals from one of those ridiculous FAQ's to another that do not addrfess the questioon.

      Typically an authentication is just an e-mail they send to you where you click a link authenticating you are a real person and the e-mail address you gave them is valid and active.
