Wordpress is an excellent platform to create a blog. It is very flexible and has a large community. You should use wordpress.com or learn from an online tutorial. Tutorials are very easy to read and understand. While searching I found an online tutorial which is simplewebsitetutorials.com, where I learned how to create a blog on Wordpress. In this tutorial you will get information from the beginning to the end. Good Luck!
