I had a fear for fast moving water...white rapids. No idea why so I took my kids on a white water raft tour.We went through the Frasier river and through famous rapids called Hells Gate, faced my fear, was scared to death but it doesn't seem that daunting to me anymore

It nearly drove my buddy to the nut house. Twenty years later. He's still not right. Pray a lot, it works.

I know a lady who did end up crazy. She lost her only kid to a drunk driver and she still not right literally . This happened on Christmas 2001. Thanks Ed for your comments.

I smoke like a burning building, I am trying to cut down at this point. Cold turkey simply is not an option. Cancer is a big concern with me.

Ed Shank, I know it's none of my business, but you should try it harder. I smoked for 20 years and end up with throat cancer. It wasn't something I would wish to anyone. So if you could get some help to make you quit .... do it. Good luck

Thanx. I've smoked for 46 yrs. And it is a bitch to cut down let alone quit. My wife's been ragging at me for ever. Had a bad accident a few years ago, spent 21 days in the hospital and never had an urge for a smoke. Got in the car to go home and fired up a Marlboro. Go figure. Hope your situation is OK now.

I don't really have a big fear, I do have minor concerns though. I would hate to be senile, or get Alzheimer's when I get up in years. I also sometimes worry about failing. I want to be successful in everything that I do.
