what causes ford 5.8L motor to stall when vehicle comes to a stop

if stopped slowly it remains running. If stopped abrubtly it stalls. From idle to reverse it sometimes stalls. It alway restarts OK.

Air motor at intake plenum. Two small screws to remove, spray with carb cleaner wipe of excess carbon and reinstall.
Bit of a curly one, my first thought is the idle is set too slow.
Second thought, if it it a carbuerettor, the float bowl level may be too low.
Third thought, if a manual transmission, are you depressing the clutch pedal in time to stop stalling?

Don`t know if this helps but I hope so.

Its the TCC SOLENOID torque converter clutch control its locking up .
