Are we programmed to fear death, or just the manner of our death

The memory of our expulsion from the original spiritual realm is left in our spirit, and we have the remembrance of the fear from that, knowing we will end up in eternal spiritual death if we don't get saved from it.
I think we fear "how" and "when" we are going to die.
There are too many cultures in the world who look at death in different ways to even think of "programming". Pergaps you are referring to our own personal/family raising? In general,in our culture, I'd say we all fear the manner of our death. The emerging Teen "Death Culture" of skulls and skeletons clothing seems to say they don't fear death at all.
