Suboxone is way better, since you can use it to ween yourself off of whatever opiate is your poison. Methadone often becomes a addiction all its own, and just replaces one drug with another. Methadone users have to go to clinics everyday, which brings up a whole host of other issues and problems. Suboxone is available from Docs trained to work with patients getting off of opiates, and your get a 'script, rather going to the clinics. Do some research online - there is plenty of info available - but from what I have seen go with Suboxone.
