      I'm assuming rat sack is a poison? Call your vet and ask what the signs are and what steps you should take immediately if he does show signs.

        Colleen: This is the only reason I answed with a silly question because it's more than a month old. I don't think rat snakes are poisonous so I'm sure the dog was just fine, unless it was choking on the snake at the time.

        I just wasn't sure if she misspelled snake or if rat sack was a poison. No worries about answering old ones. We have to move them along and get them out of the way ;)

        If your dog begins to slither across the floor and hisses at you because you won't give him any cheese, he may have injested a rat snake.
