    losing patches of hair along her back
    skin discoloration on her belly
    dr. put her on only venison potato diet. no protien
    vegetables ok
    still not getting better

      This almost sounds like a hormone problem for the dog. Ask the doc to check hormone balance.

        Buy some local honey and give small amounts. It must be local so check around. This can take a while to have a full effect so in the meantime you can give Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at 1 mg per ponds body weight for temporary relief. A diet change can take 4 to 6 weeks to have a full effect.

          When this happened to my Border Collie, my vet checked his thyroid and found it low. After just a few weeks on thyroid supplement, he was good as new. He only had to take it for a year, and then his thyroid checked out normal, so he stopped taking it.
