    How does petrol work?

    On the off chance you are serious here is a simplified answer.Petrol is pumped through a tny hole where it vapourises. This vapour is sucked into a large cylinder, so you have a 4,6,8 cylinder motor, then the vapour is compressed by the piston and when the piston is at the top of its` travel the spark plug sparks, ignites the vapour which drives the piston back down. This repeated in all cylinders. In a four stroke engine you have :induction :compression:power:exhaust that is, suck it in,compress it, explode it,blow it out.
