Why does my computer keep beeping

Go to Control Panel, Hardware and Sound and check out the sounds that are attached to different functions. If you have speakers it will sound each one of them so that you can identify the beeps that are happening.
An excellent source for reading the beeps (as Vinny mentions) is sysopt.com which has an exhaustive list of "Definitions and Solutions for BIOS Error Beeps and Messages/Codes."

If it's a series of beeps evenly spaced then it would indicate a memory malfunction (failed, missing, or not seated properly in the socket).

If it's a series of nine or ten beeps than it would indicate a motherboard system failure.
If the computer is not booting, there's a sequence of beeps that will tell you the problem if you know how to read the beeps.

Or you may have beeping bird in it?
