    How do I reset the 'service engine soon' light on 2001 GMC Sonoma PU?

      with the battery DISCONNECTED, touch the negitive cable to the possitive (5 seconds or so), reconnect both cables to the battery. This should reset the computer if you dont have any other problems with the system,the light should go off.
