epson inkjet printer model C42 PLUSProblem ; when switched on the head moves up and down twice then stops at the docking position - there is no further movement.What is the problem?Many thanks( for a solution.)

I would try to disconnect from power first to see if that resets it. If not, I would take it to a repair shop (or contact Epson directly).
