"Hamburger Tropfen" translates to Hamburg (Germany) drops. The good Doctor migrated to the United States in the mid 1800 and began making patent medicines in Baltimore. These "drops" were a stomach remedy. They survived the market until the 1930s. The bottles are highly collectable.
