    How can I cure blanketweed in my fish pond

    I have tried various treatments but not had much luck

    You need to get a sack of Barley Straw and just plonk it the pond and leave it in, we had blanketweed and we tried all sorts of chemicals a nd nothing worked yes the only thing that did work was the barley straw we got it from the vet as they give it to rabbits good luck mel

    There is a gardening company called The Vermont Gardeners Supply Company that sells little plastic balls that you put some of the barley straw in and then let them float on the water.

    Hi 6dogs never knew this I will have to check this out thanks for that re:Barley Straw it does come in net so the bits dont float out or I have put in a carrotbag its like a net bag and this does keep all the straw in the bag
