they changed their name at the time of the first world war from Battenburg to Mountbatten. Later they changed it to Windsor, a town in Berkshire where the royals have one of their castles, funded by the British taxpayer.

That is correct nondeplume WINDSOR with a "D" And yes the castles are paid for by tax payers as is the White House the Pentagon, CIA headquarters, The military forces etc etc. Who the hell else would pay for it . If you are a digruntled pom don`t come to Australia. If you are from USA stay there they are welcome to you .
