      ....I was too cheap to buy high octane gas

        Yes,but it does not warrant the price you will pay for it,however some high performance cars can only run on high octane..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<..

          My car runs rough with cheaper gas. I have a choice: smooth run for pennies or a sports car that catches. I'm sure the mileage differs a bit.....
