Take her to dinner at a nice restaurant and then go for a walk. You can talk and make eye contact during both of these activities, giving you a chance to really get to know each other.

We have a AAA BASEBALL team here and it's a moderate cost date. You can talk, watch the game, and be outdoors. There's food and drinks, and you don't have to focus on each other the whole time. It's a passive activity AND, there might be a fireworks display after the game. :-)
