    What was the "thorn in Pauls flesh" that God had given to Paul that tormented him so?

    Nothing specific was ever stated, but in some interpretations it was Satan plaguing him.
    God didn't give it to him. Paul wasn't married so it was probably sexual desire, which is in all men. Paul said that God's grace was sufficient.
    Paul does not tell us.
    But it reminded him that inspite of being one of the chosen he was still a sinner in need of salvation as are we all.
    I have heard it taught that it may have been a stutter
