    I can download Firefox 6,but I cannot get it to load. The message alrways says "Firefox is in use...and cannot be installed". I have trashed all the firefoxes I can locate on my desktop, but the problemremains. Please HELP

    II am using a Macbook running 10.5.8.

    You also might want to look in your task manager to see if there is a running FF in memory.. Sometime FF will do this..

    CTrl-alt-delete--- Then task manager look in running applications, if you see FF close it from there//
    That's because you have not uninstalled Firefox through your Control Panel - desktop only gets rid of the icon, Control Panel gets rid of the software.
