How to paint IKEA picture shelf?
I bought a black picture shelf from IKEA. It's wood with a smooth finish (maybe even some fort of formica or veneer?). I want to paint it white. How do I prep the surface and what paint do I use, etc, to paint it properly? I don't want the shelf to end up looking like a kid slathered it with acrylic paint.
