We know his coming is near.

Actually, more people have turned back to God. That's why the world is not going to suffer in the manner as is prophesied. My proof for this will be shown over the coming 2 years. :)
We will still have sever weather but there will be no ultimate destruction of mankind. The world as we know it will change but we will survive. I know you don't see it but even here in the US, people have turned back to God, no matter how they view Him, they've turned back to Him.
God accepts any name. He's not particular. As long as one believes in the Creator, the name really doesn't matter.
And that Jesus was his son!

Lol, part of the answer is removing God from our society, schools, and government. I understand the original meaning of,"separation of church and state."
Right. separation of CHURCH and state...meaning no secular religion being part of our governing process . God SHOULD be included in our government. GOD, not religion. Our government has to figure out the difference in the two. Once they do that, God will be acknowledged in the government again. We will have a president soon who will be able to do this.

I think we're in the end times, b/c the bible ( I think it's in Matthew )...says that when we have floods, fires, hurricanes, wars and rumors of wars, and when men lay with men, then we will be in the end times. Look at the widespread forest fires in Arizona.....they were set by a man. That shows the innate evil of man.

We've had those natural disasters throughout all history. Some men have been laying with men since before the new testament. Please are you really going to pull homosexuality as another reason for the biblical end of the world. God should have destroyed mankind long before now if that was the case.

Sorry, I do not believe we started from Adam and Eve or restarted from Noah and company. I do not believe there was a world wide flood and Noah traipsed the globe bringing animals into a desert where most could not have survived, especially with not enough food and water before the flood arrived.

its called instant global communication! when all of this stuff was happening before the mobile phone, facebook, twitter, personal computers etc. nobody knew or really cared! now that its shoved in our faces a nano second after anything happens you guys get all biblical!

I think the government has told the media to focus on all natural disasters that they can find to make it all look big and bad so the people can be scared and more easily led and controlled. I think the government is using the biblical prophesy about the ending of the world to fuel it's own agenda of absolute control over the people.

I know this is off subject, but I haven't been here for a day or two, and I have about 500 votes left, don't you think when they give us so many we vote up more and don't value our votes as much?
Yes, I do think so but when they limited the votes, there was an outcry against it. I'll try to remember to check into it but I THINK they gave senior members (higher karma than the rest) more available votes because they believe the older members understand the system better.

I agree with the answers so far, but there is something more Biblical I'm wondering if anyone knows what I'm referring to? No complex question is easily answered, there are many factors involved to a question like this.

Well, I checked it out, I can't really in good conscience partake in a religion that most Christian religions consider to be a cult. I understand you you fervor for you beliefs, but personally I can't go anywhere near a cult unless it is just to study it. Sorry no offense meant...
