    Do casual workers have to work 38 hours per week before they earn overtime?

    They have to work 40 hours per week before they can get overtime.
    Casual workers usually are not allowed to earn overtime or work over 38 hours. Saves the company from paying benefits to those employees. Only full-time or permanent employees get overtime after 40 hours a week.

    Ahh, so that's what casual worker is. Never heard the term. I've always been a full time worker. Truck driver, 70 hours a week, no overtime.
