You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.  When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

Yes, but Garth Brooks has a song that says it best, some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.  I know God know the big picture and I do not and all things happen for a reason.  And I have myself way on down the road looked back at something I have prayed for and not gotten answered and have seen it to be for the best.

Never. I never pray  to god or anyone else, for that matter, for any favors. That's why I never blame him for any shortcomings.

That happens from time to time as my prayers may be against God's will.  His will is higher than my will.  Also He has His own timing.

You should be careful what you ask for,you just might get it and be sorry that you ever did. When you ask God for something,I'll say Lord let it be your will and not mind be done,Amen.

when i was so sick in horrific pain,lying in a hospital bed i prayed to die.God said no. instead he sent a surgeon ive never heard of to do what needed to be done. God has a plan for me, you look back on things and see there is a greater power that takes care of things. i am so glad i have God in my life. i will praise him forever!

I think if you want something you should get it through your own efforts, not rely on a theoretical being to provide it for you.
