    i have a black shih tzu and i want to know if she is more comfortable with short or long hair in hot summer weather

    I would venture to say short hair in the hot summer weather.

      Short hair will make her more comfortable. Take her to a groomer. Cutting dogs hair so they don't end up looking silly is not as easy as you might think. ;)
