    is that the only alloy, or is there anything else such as material or rock or wood that you might know would stop the attraction of the magnets

    Plastic, aluminum and wood are the 3 I can think of off the top of my head. Google might provide more info.
    Most stainless steels will not attract a magnet, 316 stainless will not.
    Right you are I've had stainless refrigerator's that you couldn't use magnets on. How are you supposed to stick thing to the fridge?
