According to several sites, the ashes were given to Yoko two days after his murder, she skattered them on "Strawberry Fields" a section of the Park where he often walked.

Sadly, he didn't want to be cremated at all. He feared cremation. She never contacted any of his family for their approval before doing it.

I do remember being totally devastated at the news, the Beatles were one of my early favorites as a teenager.

I didn't keep up with the news of his death. I really didn't want to know the details (at the time), it was too gory.

Don't quite understand, there was no funeral. So are you asking how many days between the murder and the cremation and skattering of ashes?
