I personally would say one of the effects of nicotine is throat cancer. I had it back in '95 due to 20 years of non stop smoking. I have to tell you it was not a walk in the park. I lost 65 pounds in a matter of a month once I started with radiation and the whole nine yards. I am cancer free now, buy it wasn't fun. So to anyone who smokes and wants to listen ....quit smoking while you are ahead.
