      I had to stop taking Boniva in order to have gum surgery as it would interfere with the process. The dentist asked me to stop taking it about two months before I had the gum surgery so I'm guessing it would take that long for it to be out of your body.

        that's new news, 6 dogs. if i ever have to have gum surgery i'll be sure and ask my dentist. thank you.
