The thing with forums like this is, people come, people go. The fact that so many do come here to post questions causes the questions to move along quickly and get buried. There may be interesting topics but a lot of people miss them because they don't want to surf through pages and pages of questions just to find an interesting topic. I know we have tags to find questions through that may interest us but for someone like me, I have an interest in so many things, that I can't really go through all the tags one at a time to find questions I might be interested in answering or commenting to. Good (make you think) questions are about the only thing that will get this place hoping but again, they can get buried fast with all the other questions coming in.

I’ve seen great questions get buried fast. To hold up in the tide you have to keep it up near the top of the heap by recall. Rather than letting them collapse under a heap is there a way to keep chosen topics on top longer? The stats say certain subjects are hot but it could be due to our culture facts…like feeding time at the zoo. Catering to the public appetite appeals to my since of reverence.
The only way to keep a question at the top is to comment to it through the "add new answer" box. Yes, the stats here are not really reliable. It's just what got the most attention for the day and it could be a bad question with a lot of ticked off answers. One of those questions you'd rather see buried ;)
I was thinking more like free air fare from Briz Australia to LAX,(Biz class of course!),or something like that.(LOL).

Free stuff…Like a fortune cookie, a printable gift card, lottery numbers, interesting idea actually. Implementing that could be tricky ….like there’s not enough free art out there already. oh yes…I’m reminded …coupons. Trading stamps (printable) Like what did you have in mind for free stuff?

The site generates funds by public interest and adds. So in a since we are offering public interest as the product here. I know how to advertise and get stats.

I spend 3or4 hours some days reading all the (so called) old questions on here. After about page 50 I just can't see straight to read another unanswered question. I think there should be a time limit for each of these to be displayed for viewing( answered or not).For example: What if each question is retired into "file 13"every 30 days. Do you think this is a possibility, Colleen?
