    How much of your liver can you live without?

    Mine is functioning at 40%

    YOu can live without 1/2 a liver for a live donation and a healthy liver donator's liver will regenerate itself to full capacity wihtin a few months. Can't live without one for any length of time and depending upon what your liver has been damaged from it can regenerate (amazing little organ, performs 100's of functions) Not sure about an answer to your percentage of liver function at 40%...best to discuss with your physician (:
