                Not sure either...but if someone ever made it "cool" for boys to wear their pants without half their butt cheeks hanging in the breeze...imagine the market for a product like that!

                  There is a product which is similar to double sided tape, don`t hold me to this but I think ( that noise you heard was me thinking) it is called Modeling tape.
