I have to guess what browser you are using.
In Firefox, click the "Tools" menu and click "Add-ons". In the Add-ons window, explore the list of "Extensions".
If the name or description of any installed extension indicates that it might produce the unwanted search window, disable it (click the extension's entry in the list and click the "Disable" button). If the list includes any extensions that you do not recognize or are unsure about, research them, or disable them experimentally.
