    Christian Cult and the State/

    In a country where separation of church and state is clearly mandated, why are Christian, Jewish, and other cults exempt from sales and other goverment taxes?

    Because they are separate, separated spiritually and indeed some truly are, while most others are simply business as usual; the money changers "spoken of", they should be taxed (greatly for their deciet.) That "tax" will definetely be received in the next world.
