Interesting thought provoking question for we "oldsters" (61 here!). I imagine first of all that it depends upon each individual. Certainly nothing wrong with being alone, it has many benefits. We all get set in our ways when growing older. However, it would not be bad living with someone you didn't love as long as you were friends and could get along. So, it's six of one and half a dozen of the other in my book.
