I have a uncle that was killed in WW11,and to beat all he was a medic,he did'nt even have a gun with him as he went onto the battlefield to tend a wounded comrade, thats when his earthly life ended but he is in his family's heart forever. Also had a brother in Nam in 1968,he came back alive but that place messed with him so bad that he drank himself too his grave...RIP bro i love you and miss you very much.

Sorry for your loss, but so proud they served.
One thing i forgot to say was out of 7 uncle's and a father that was in WW11,the one that was killed was the only one that had to lie about his age just to get in.
I think it's important to thank our vets for serving when we see them, it's just a respectful thing to do. We all do owe them a debt of gratitude. My Step Dad, and my oldest brother served. My Dad was highly decorated, served in Korea and Vietnam. He was very exposed to agent orange and died of cancer in the early 80's.
I think to give even a few years of your life to serve your country is a courageous thing to do, especially if you put your life on the line. Thank you to all of you vets out there...
