I am removing carpet and go to lay Laminate Flooring in its place. Can I install the laminate flooring over the carpet pad and the pad for the laminate flooring to give extra cushioning?

NO! NO! athousand times NO< NO NO> Boy am I glad I saw this question. I had laminate flooring laid that had its` own backing. To try and make it quieter I had it laid on a cushion of only 2mm thick.
The laminate was spongy to walk on and to have it removed and relayed was going to cost more than the original job. So over $3500 later I now have TILES.
You need a layer of special plastic to prevent moisture from forming under the laminated flooring. They will install the new flooring over the plastic and glue it down properly.
Don't do it. I think there is something special for laying under flooring.
