In order to downgrade internet explorer 9 back to 8, simply go to the control panel in your windows version and go to "Uninstall a program" (Win7) or "add or remove programs" (XP), then click on the "view installed updattes" (Win7) or make sure the "show updates" box is checked (XP). Then uninstall the update, restart internet explorer, and Internet Explorer 8 should come up.
