Kalhil Gibran was born in Lebanon(1883-1931). His Fame and influence spread far beyond the Near East. His Poetry has been tranlated into more than 20 languages. His drawings and paintings have been exhibited in the great Capitals of the world. In the last 20 years of his life he lived in the United States and began to write in English.
