Here in Canada, after a full year of being legally separated you don't have to get his signature. Crappy time in life once the divorce thing starts to go. I have to say I was very suprised at how I felt when the papers finally came to me signed and completed. I always thought I was going to have a divorced party but instead I wept. No matter what, it is a loss no matter how bitter you are feeling or he is, at one time you loved one another. The only advice I have for you is to never lower your standards of who you are no matter what he does or says. I can look my ex an his family in the eye with no guilt as I held my head up and held on strong to who I was...no matter what. I didn't lower myself in order to get back nor did I take anything that I shouldn't have. I wish you luck in all this stuff...always keep in mind "this too shall pass"
