      it goes in your lower back, like inbetween your vertebrae....to make you numb from the waste down.

        Basically it's a spinal injection. The injection can cause both a loss of sensation (anesthesia) and a loss of pain (analgesia), by blocking the transmission of signals through nerves in or near the spinal cord.

        Can be used to lessen pain of childbirth and other surgeries.
