        I have often heard it's not so much what you use but when you clean them. Never clean a window when there is sun shining on it. The heat from the sunshine will cause streaks. Don't know if that's true, but you certainly would be able to see them easier!

          I've always heard if you wipe them with newspaper they won't streak. But since I am not the window washer in my house I'm not sure if it actually works.

            You can use just about any kind of fluid, but to keep the streaks free, use newspaper.

              use 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar in a trigger bottle; spray window then get a squeegee and squeegee off the liquid; use dry cotton cloth to wipe off any residue
