Go to your account, click account settings, scroll to the bottom and click deactivate account. Then never open the site again.

oh ok. i thought u could actually delete it forever, because that is what i do all the time anyway. but thanks alot
Facebook is a web page, not a download. This means it's not actually IN your computer. You can see it if you're online and log into the website. You can delete your account simply removes all the information you have stored with Facebook. It does not remove Facebook itself from cyber space and again, it's not in your computer.
