    RUM RATION WAS ISSUED UP UNTIL THE EARLY SIXTIES AT WHAT AGE DID A JUNIOR RATING HAVE TO BE TO QUALIFY?

      I scanned and found this "junior ratings' mess will be under the age of 20 at any one time and not eligible for rum" So I guess they qualified at age 20. http://hansard.millbanksystems.com/commons/1970/jan/28/royal-navy-rum-ration

        At the age of 20. I received my first tot on the 13/10/67, and lost it for 7 days because I lost my ID card ashore in Gebralta whilst celabrating my birthday.
        Unfortunaly the rum issue was discontuned in 1973 or 4
