It's easy to dismiss the ref. 5711 as just link another "hype watch." I sure have. Last year, when I link went to that Phillips auction, I was left ogling at it behind a glass case, like it was some exhibit at the Museum of Natural History. It's not – it's just a watch, and one of 170 just link like it.

And that's a good thing. We don't always need 1:1 reproductions of past models. Watches don't always have to be serious. With the work that Ferdi Porsche is doing up at Mankei, this very link well could be an iconic watch in 20 years that represents the link start link of a new era of something cool with Porsche and Porsche Design.

My fondest memory of his watch is far more recent.
