      It could but why would you use a needle when an earring will work.
      Besides needles are sharp.

        If it is because you can't have earrings in because of work or something try a peace of straw you can cut it short so it doesn't stick out or a tooth pick.

          yes. i would rather use a broom straw or i have used a plastic hairbrush bristle before. make sure they are clean!
